We created this 100% recycled plastic bollard as a functional, attractive alternative to the traditional wood bollard. The inspiration came from a recent trip to Holland where a similar product is used virtually everywhere along bike pathways, pedestrian walkways and roadsides. These are ideal applications because our bollards will never rot out. Wood alternatives will start to decay on ground contact, and many will prematurely start to decay from the constant trimming by weed eaters clearing vegetation from around the base. Easily install our bollards on a concrete footing or directly in the ground, and where extra levelling and stabilizing is required, with rebar through the base. Also, our recycled plastic bollards will save you money. Over their lifespan, hundreds of dollars will be saved because they do not require regular staining and painting. Best of all they are extremely environmentally friendly! Each post diverts over 52 lbs of plastic from landfills and oceans and is recyclable. Increasingly, there are many great applications for this bollard, including way-finder signage on hiking and biking trails displaying kilometre markers or directional arrows.
